Anna’s Oven located just off of Stateline and West 39th Street. It’s an awesome place. It has a really cute atmosphere, extremely friendly from the time you walk in, to the time you leave. When my friend and I went to order food, we expected to leave about 15 – 20 minutes later. That was the opposite of what happened. We ordered our food, and within 10 minutes we were out of there to go enjoy comfort food while watching Doctor Who.
My friend just had the order of Bruschetta. It came with toasted baguette and a topping of fresh tomatoes and basil. She said that it was delicious, except it was slightly on the salty side. For $7, it came with a ton of food, so a deal.
I got the vegetarian lasagna. Absolutely delicious. It was layered with their house made noodles, eggplant, mushroom, sauce, and whole basil leaves. It also came with bread and a side of seasonal vegetables. It was absolutely delicious and really filling. So reasonable for $9.50. For $2 more you also received a cup of the soup of the day. This day, I got the Mushroom Broth. It was almost like a consomme. It was a broth that was topped with green onions and mushrooms. Very light, but perfect for the cold rainy that it was.
I’d say go check this place out. It’s worth every penny. Especially because for about $13, you are getting a meal, a cup of soup, and tipping. I was stuffed, and I had leftovers the next day. Such a friendly place.
