There is a coffee shop in Waldo that is hitting a milestone this month and it’s called One More Cup and they are celebrating their 5 year birthday this month. This is a coffee shop that I wish I went to on a more regular basis. There’s just something about this shop that I love. It could be the feeling you get that feels like home and the sense of community that is always in this shop. There is usually a local art on the walls, but this month it is a ton of pictures of the last fives years of this shop. As well as a beautiful note by the owners, Stacy and Jeremy.
One of the things that I love about One More Cup is that from the very beginning they were working on being environmentally friendly. All of the products in their shop are local, made with local Shatto Milk, their coffee come from local roasters that are certified organic. Plus their cups are biodegradable as well as their sleeves and lids. They understand that it cost more money, but they are willing to take that extra step to making it better better for the environment. They also have a lot of other local products as well as a great selection of gluten free options.
The week of February 17 – 22, One More Cup is hosting a ton of drink specials and raffles from a ton of local companies. The raffles are $2 and all money raised will be going to Delete Blood Cancer. On Saturday, February 22, from 10:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. One More Cup is hosting a time when you can get registered to become a potential bone marrow donor. These two things, in my opinion, is a sign of how much Stacy and Jeremy care about their community and are wanting to raise money and donors in honor of their 5th birthday.
Go on in this month for a ton of great drink specials and enjoy a drink that is made with so much love. Here’s a link to their birthday event on Facebook.
Thanks Stacy, Jeremy, and crew for being such an awesome part of the Kansas City Coffee Community. We love you and here’s to many more years.
